Eight Years Strong: Creole Food Fest Hits Brooklyn Bridge Park October 3rd

A celebration of Creole cuisine spanning the Caribbean, the Americas, and Africa presented with Time Out Market to elevate diverse culinary voices.

BROOKLYN, NY, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Creole Food Fest, the annual culinary showcase celebrating diaspora cuisine, is heading to Pier 3 at Brooklyn Bridge Park this fall in partnership with Time Out Market for its biggest year yet. The event, now in its eighth year, brings together an impressive line-up of chefs for a day of unlimited tastings, live music, and community. At a time when so much attention is placed on what divides us, the Creole Food Festival uses food, culture, and music to celebrate what connects us.

The Grand Tasting takes place Saturday, October 3, 2026 (rain date: October 4), with an early-afternoon window from 3–6 PM designed for families, followed by an after-hours vibe from 6–8 PM for the grown folks. Tickets pre-sale, are currently $50, with gradual price increases leading up to $150 at the door.

Co-Founder Fabrice Armand built Creole Food Fest eight years ago to give talented Black and Brown chefs a platform to showcase their creativity. Not only does the high caliber event provide a stage that mainstream food media had long overlooked, it plays a pivotal role in introducing audiences to the incredible diversity of Creole cuisine from around the world.

The festival's definition of "Creole" is intentionally broad, not confined to Haiti or New Orleans, but stretching across the diaspora to spotlight what connects African, Caribbean, Latin American, South American, and U.S. Southern kitchens. Chosen through advisors including Chef Todd Richards, Chef Stefan, and Chef Apa Garacia, this year's chefs represent geographies across the diaspora.

This year’s milestone event highlights a powerful collaboration with Time Out Market, a global food and cultural entity. As many corporations pull back from diversity initiatives, Time Out Market is stepping forward to join hands with Creole Food Fest in championing, uplifting, and celebrating Black and Brown communities. This shared commitment to honoring diverse cultures and culinary traditions is what binds the partnership together.

Every ticket includes unlimited tastings, diaspora DJs, live music, and a photo booth. This year's entertainment lineup blends Caribbean sound with Latin rhythm: DJs Stakz, Sounds of Reality, DJ Magic Kenny, and Commish will share the stage with live Latino performers, honoring October's Hispanic Heritage Month.

Creole Food Fest remains entirely Black-owned and self-funded, no loans, no outside investors. The festival has expanded to five cities, including New York, Miami, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and New Orleans. Looking ahead, the festival's team is launching a new parent company, Creole Food Culture, which will include a scholarship fund for culinary arts.
